Almaty is a purebred Akhal Teke mare born in 2002 at Van Kasteren stud farm in Belgium. Her sire is El line stallion Sugun and her dam Fakir Pelvan line Atmis 4.  Almaty is a very typical Akhal Teke with narrow chest and hindquarter, a refined and angular head atop a long neck, sparse forelock and mane as well as striking almond shaped eyes.  Almaty is inquisitive and has a strong personality. She will be bred in 2011 to Maruk.
